This 1868 home of the John Hopkins family (Baltimore Hospital and University fame) will take you back in time to the extravagant time period of the post Civil War Gilded Age. Explore this canal town of the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay. Yes, George Washington slept here many times. French troops under the command of the Marquis de Lafayette encamped here and named the city during the Revolutionary War.
